"Are you saying I'm not relaxed, Martin?"

It's a joke, even with the deadpan delivery. Jon takes another drink from his cup and he thinks Martin isn't really wrong. He could do with some relaxing. He just isn't sure that tea is going to do it.

Maybe it's worth a try. Some nice chamomile at the end of the day.

“I’m saying that maybe you could use a break and chamomile tea would be perfect for that.”

But yes, Jon. Martin is telling you that you need to relax. Because he’s not relaxing, and the stress sits in his shoulders, in his expression and Martin just worries. It’s not something he can really help.

“Is drinking tea that might make you relax that bad?”

"No, it isn't bad. I'm teasing you."

Jon's quiet for a moment, absently considering the cupcake in front of him. He knows there's a slight chance that other people know it's his birthday, and that they may want to do something about it.

"Assuming that no one has plans to kidnap me and take me out drinking, do you... want to come over tonight?"

He rolls his eyes, a smile on his lips as he leans up against Jon's desk.

"Assuming no one kidnaps you, I would love to come over."

So fingers crossed that no one was going to kidnap Jon. He'd like to be able to spend time with him, alone, without worry. Maybe just have one day where it's all just normal.

"Maybe I could pick something up for dinner... make it a nice night in."
